Stability and Transition Analysis for hypersonic Boundary Layers
STABL2D is the original STABL (Stability and Transition Analysis for hypersonic Boundary Layers). Developed at the University of Minnesota, STABL2D includes a 2D/Axisymmetric CFD solver, a Linear Stability Theory (LST) solver and a Parabolized Stability Equations (PSE) solver for the analysis of boundary layer stability and transition prediction in 2D or axisymmetric flows.
STABL2D includes full thermochemical nonequilibrium effects in both the laminar mean flow and in the boundary layer stability analysis.
STABL2D also comes with an extensive set of flow analysis tools which are useful for detailed investigation of boundary layer properties.
