VirtusAero is looking for a skilled and motivated engineer with a strong background in computer programming to join our team. We are a small and growing company with space for new employees to find their niche. Ideal applicant has a Bachelor’s degree or higher, background and interest in fluid dynamics and computational fluid dynamics, with an interest or focus on hypersonics. Linux background and experience with programming and scripting in various languages is a plus. Applicants should be comfortable working on a small team with self-directed day-to-day work and creative problem solving skills. Job tasks will include supporting research and development in computational fluid mechanics, testing and evaluating current and new software, user support, software development, and other tasks depending on specific employee skills and interest. We welcome applicants who are interested in contributing ideas and helping to write and submit proposals for interesting new research and development work. Our office is located in the Minneapolis metro, but remote work is possible. Salary is negotiable and commensurate on education and experience.
